First time visiting Ballito?

☀️ Bring SPF 50. The KZN sun is strong even when there’s a sea breeze cooling you down.

🚩 Swim between the flags and listen to the lifeguards. They know this water better than anyone.

🦀 Plan your rock pool walks around low tide. That’s when the pools at Thompson’s Bay and Chaka’s Rock open up and you can watch small fish darting between the rocks.

🌅 Set an alarm at least once. Shakas Rock faces east so the sun comes up straight out of the Indian Ocean.

🍛 Eat local. Some of the best meals on this coast come from small kitchens and independent restaurant owners.

All of our guests receive a digital Guidebook for easy reference for restaurants and local attractions. 💙
